Triangle Fastener Corporation announces the addition of a #10 CONCEALOR with the patent-pending BURR BUSTER technology, specifically developed for use in oriented strand board. This new fastener offers the latest thread technology designed to produce superior performance.

According to the manufacturer, it provides up to 80 percent more pullout load on OSB compared to other screws, and the single lead, low-angle thread helps reduce problems associated over-driving the fastener. The fasteners offer more resistance to loosening due to more consistent tightening

Obituary: Randy Allen, Triangle Fastener Corporation

Triangle Fastener Corporation (TFC) announced that Randy Allen passed away. “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Allen,” the company said in a statement. “Our friend and coworker passed away January 17, Friday afternoon, after fighting a bout with pancreatic cancer. Randy had just turned 65 years of age.”

Allen retired from TFC on December 31, 2019, after 10 years of service as the company’s National Accounts Manager, and he was most recently Territory Manager for the TFC Houston branch. Allen was active with industry associations including the Metal Construction Association (MCA) and the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA). With the MCA, Allen was a board member and chaired the Accessories Committee. Allen had extensive knowledge of the metal building and metal roofing industries. “At trade shows and association meetings, he never knew a stranger, and everyone knew him,” the company stated. 

New Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws

Concealor 304 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws from Triangle Fastener Corporation are manufactured from304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and exceptional ductility. According to the company, the buttress thread increases pullout loads and resistance to back-out compared to ordinary roofing screws. The screws are TRI-SEAL top-coated to improve tapping and reduce thread roll-over and feature a #2 square recess for optimal stability during installation. The screws attach to metal, wood, and concrete. They can drill and tap up to 16-gauge steel, and the buttress thread is specified in many metal roofing systems to attach SSR clips over rigid insulation into metal deck.

SFS Group announced it has acquired Triangle Fastener Corporation (TFC). TFC, with headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a leading provider of fasteners and other products for the commercial construction industry. Triangle Fastener Corporation Triangle Fastener Corporation (TFC) announces that the company’s ¼-14 DP3 Concealor Pancake Head Screw is now FM approved for wall fastening per FM Approval Standard 4881 — Class 1 Exterior Wall Systems.

TFC developed the ¼-14 DP3 Concealor Pancake Head Screw specifically to attach Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs). According to the company, the screw’s unthreaded section eliminates jacking of the insulated panel during face fastening. Bi-Metal Drill Screws Feature Corrosion Resistance and Ductility

Triangle Fastener Corporation introduces a full line of 304 stainless steel bi-metal self-drilling screws.

Bi-metal screws have heads and threads made of 304 stainless steel providing corrosion resistance and ductility. A hardened carbon steel drill point welded to a stainless steel body, which allows the screw to drill and tap steel up to ½ inch thick.

The screws are used to attach aluminum, stainless steel, insulated metal panel (IMP) and when ductility is needed in the connection.
