New Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws

Concealor 304 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws from Triangle Fastener Corporation are manufactured from304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and exceptional ductility. According to the company, the buttress thread increases pullout loads and resistance to back-out compared to ordinary roofing screws. The screws are TRI-SEAL top-coated to improve tapping and reduce thread roll-over and feature a #2 square recess for optimal stability during installation. The screws attach to metal, wood, and concrete. They can drill and tap up to 16-gauge steel, and the buttress thread is specified in many metal roofing systems to attach SSR clips over rigid insulation into metal deck.

Utility Mounting System for Metal Roofs

S-5! introduces the universal GripperFix utility system for standing seam, exposed-fastened, and trapezoidal metal roof profiles. Mount almost anything with this safe and cost-effective system that uses only struts, S-5! clamps or brackets and tabs. Install HVAC, satellite dishes, inverters, conduit, communication equipment, service walkways, light fixtures, and more without using improper materials that can compromise both the equipment and the integrity of the roof itself. Using concrete blocks for ballast is unsafe and causes destructive corrosion. According to the manufacturer, this all-aluminum and stainless system will last the life of the roof.

Roof Bracket Provides Foothold on Standing Seam Metal Roofs

The Roof Rat Bracket is a standing seam metal roofing bracket that was created to give contractors a place to put their foot. Designed specifically for standing seam metal roof systems, the Roof Rat Bracket requires no bolts, no set screws, no torque/combination wrenches or any additional tools for attachment — just your fingers.

The patent-pending Roof Rat Bracket easily attaches to the vertical leg of the standing seam metal roofing panel. To use, press open the cam levers and place The Roof Rat Bracket over the seam of the panel. Release the levers and the bracket attaches itself to the seam of the panel. Pull down or step on the bracket and it will automatically tighten against the seam with no negative impact on the seam and or paint finish.

To move the product up the seam, just leave it in place and simply slide it up the roof panel. Putting pressure on the bracket will tighten back down after moving it. To remove the bracket, press the levers to open the cams and lift it off the seam. According to the manufacturer, it will not scratch or harm the paint. The Roof Rat Bracket is made in the United States.

Standing Seam Roof Clamp Accommodates Variety of Seam Profiles

Dynamic Fastener offers the Standing Seam Roof Clamp, which installs over the clip on a completely seamed, attached roof section a minimum 4 feet or further from the edge with no damage to roof panels or finished seams and no roof penetrations. The clamp accommodates seams up to 1 inch wide, and the unique “flip” design of the DFSSRC-03 allows for fit on both the Butler MR24 and Butler VSR-style seams just by removing the bolts, turning one side of the clamp around the ring and replacing the bolts. According to the company, any roof that meets similar loadings, specifications, and codes of the Butler styles will accept these anchors for safety tie off.

A safety lanyard, of a maximum length 6-foot length, with a deceleration (shock absorber) device and full body harness should be used with the clamp. Clamps have been tested to meet and exceed the following OSHA standards: 1926.502 (d) (2), (3), (4) and (15): Anchorages for attachments of personal fall arrest equipment.

New Snow Retention System Designed for Areas of Heavy Snowfall

PMC Industries introduces the Snow Titan. Presented as a heavy-duty alternative to the company’s Color Snap snow retention system, Snow Titan delivers even greater snow-holding confidence, according to the company.

Jim Bailey, president of PMC Industries, stated, “Not only is it an aesthetically pleasing product but more importantly, Snow Titan was designed for projects in areas that experience the heaviest snowfalls. Homeowners and commercial property owners are all-too-familiar with the terrifying snow slides that can occur as snow begins to melt and suddenly slides off the roof. Roofing Avalanches can occur anywhere there is significant snow, but the dangers and liability to persons and property in these areas can be significant.”

According to the company, the product installs quickly and easily, saving time and minimizing labor costs. The system utilizes non-penetrating AceClamp sliding-pin clamps and snap-in ice flags, and promises to deliver with twice the strength of conventional snow retention systems.

Explained Bob Mercier, head of product development, “Contractors who enjoyed the benefits of Color Snap will now have the opportunity to purchase Snow Titan with the additional security of knowing that it will keep a greater snow load in place. Snow Titan’s new triangular shaped rail-structure is strong enough to tackle up to 48-inch spans, and can be configured in either one or two rail setups depending upon the roofing pitch and expected snowfall.”

According to the company, Snow Titan’s rails and clamps, along with all of AceClamps products, are manufactured in the United States from all non-corrosive materials.
