ATAS International Inc. has expanded its line of pre-notched trims and flashing components.  Trims and flashing are often critical elements of metal roof, wall and soffit installations.  They provide weather resistance of the installed system, as well as aesthetic value of the finished building.  ATAS can provide solutions that address both of those elements which can help to control costs.  
 
Common problems that occur in metal panel trim and flashing installation include maintaining the correct overlap distances.  As well, heavier gauges and multiple bends or complex shapes may make field notching difficult.  The quality of workmanship in creating trims and flashings in the field are not as easily controlled compared to factory fabrication, and the time to perform this operation in the field is typically longer.

Fabral has added Powerseam II, a mechanically seamed structural standing-seam roof panel system, to its offerings. As with the existing Powerseam profile, Powerseam II can be bent, curved and tapered. Powerseam II is offered in 0.032-inch aluminum and 26-, 24- and 22-gauge steel. Stiffening ribs and shadow lines are available. The panel system, which is designed for education and sports environments, can be fabricated in the factory and onsite for projects requiring a long-length panel. Powerseam II panels are available in Fabral’s full architectural color palette. Custom colors are available upon request, subject to common industry minimums.

A symmetrical metal roof system does not “lap” over an adjacent panel like standard asymmetrical panels. Symmetrical panels install side by side and have a mechanically seamed “cap” that has two beads of continuous butyl sealant, creating a watertight seam. MORIN’s SymmeTry Roof Series vertical panel legs range from 1 1/2 to 3 inches in height. Because they are bidirectional, the panels can be installed going left to right, right to left, and start from any point of the roof. Symmetrical panels are specified and installed to allow for unlimited thermal expansion and contraction, providing the advantage of installing panels up to 300 feet in length.
